XLPE HV Cables (XLPE-HV)
High-performance medium voltage cables engineered for safe, efficient, and reliable power distribution up to 33 kV.

What are XLPE HV Cables?
XLPE (Cross-Linked Polyethylene) HV Cables are medium voltage cables designed for the distribution of electrical energy at rated voltages above 1.1 kV and up to 33 kV. These cables are manufactured with high-conductivity aluminium conductors insulated with cross-linked polyethylene to deliver superior electrical performance, thermal stability, and long-term reliability.
The cross-linking process converts polyethylene into a thermoset insulation material with excellent resistance to heat, moisture, chemical exposure, and electrical stress. This enables XLPE HV Cables to operate continuously at conductor temperatures up to 90°C and withstand short circuit temperatures up to 250°C.
XLPE HV Cables are extensively used in utility substations, industrial plants, renewable energy projects, commercial infrastructure, and captive power systems where dependable medium voltage power distribution is essential.
Manufactured in accordance with relevant Indian and international standards, these cables offer low dielectric losses, high insulation resistance, and excellent resistance to environmental and mechanical stresses.
At Mahavir Transmission Limited, XLPE HV Cables are produced using advanced conductor stranding, triple extrusion, conductor screening, insulation screening, and precision curing technologies under stringent quality assurance systems.
With high current carrying capacity, excellent dielectric properties, and long operational life, XLPE HV Cables are the preferred solution for modern medium voltage power networks.
Insulation Screen
